“I pretended to be a fortune teller as a kid so I became a trend forecaster.” - Abbey Cook
Abbey Cook is a creative strategist, trend forecaster, storyteller and stylist in Brooklyn, working with global brands to help them capture trends and long-terms strategies to capitalize on the future within their industry.
With nearly two decades of trend forecasting experience, Abbey has predicted some of the most influential trends and social movements of the past decade. She was a key player in creating the cult color that defined a generation, Millennial Pink. She has also predicted Brat Green, Butter Yellow and what became known as Valentino Pink.
She travels the world (50 plus countries to date), giving her an edge in leading brands, retailers, and trend agencies to stay ahead of their industries. Abbey presents to Fortune 500 companies around the world, helping them lead the way in fashion and culture. She is known for her curiosity, detailed eye, strong visuals, in-depth research and keen sense of curation and storytelling.
Abbey is available for trend forecasting, bespoke research, marketing and brand strategies, public speaking, writing, creating color palettes and design concepts. She also does prop and wardrobe styling for editorial and television.
In 2021 Abbey, along with her wife, co-founded the brand The Taste Curators, where they inspire joy through the connections of food, fashion and color. Together they have a cookbook series around food and color and have worked with various brands for collaborations, talks and events.
When not working you can find her doing (in no particular order) tap dancing, painting, finding colors on her walks or drinking sparkling wine because she can always find the little things to celebrate in life.
